14th annual Juried Art Show Preview and Reception

The Alabama Bicentennial Commission of Lee County is pleased to announce the 14th annual Juried Art Show Preview and Reception as an upcoming bicentennial endorsed event.

The 14th annual Juried Art Show is presented by the Auburn Arts Association and will be on display during the 18th annual Auburn CityFest. The exhibition is housed in the historic Nunn-Winston House during Auburn’s largest outdoor arts and crafts festival on Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

A preview and reception in honor of the exhibition and participating artists will be on Thursday, April 26 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the historic Nunn-Winston House in Kiesel Park. The reception is free and open to the public and allows guests the opportunity to meet the artists, enjoy a delicious dinner and music and view the show prior to the official opening during Auburn CityFest. Artist awards will be presented during the reception, including ten (10) cash awards (two of which are for $250), presented by the Auburn-Opelika Tourism Bureau and selected by a panel of jurors.

The 14th annual Juried Art Show is open to artists 18 years of age and older residing in Alabama and the states adjacent (GA, MS, FL and TN). Artists may submit one work in any fine art medium, including painting, works on paper, three-dimensional works (ceramics/sculpture), mixed media, jewelry and photography. There is a $25 entry fee for all artists. This fee is waived for those artists purchasing exhibitor spaces at Auburn CityFest 2018. Entry forms, fees and works are due to the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 23. The Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center is located at 222 E. Drake Avenue.
